Prusa Research has officially entered the healthcare market with the release of the Prusa Medical One, a resin 3D printer designed for clinical and laboratory use. Central to the launch is the new the option to work with biocompatible resin, developed specifically for producing medical parts such as custom-fit devices. The biocompatible resin is tested for cytotoxicity, irritation and sensitation according to ISO 10993 for biocompatible materials. With the Medical One and biocompatible resin, the company aims to support safe, in-house production of precise medical components in both dental and clinical. Biocompatible 3D-printing resin for Prusa Medical One
Biocompatible 3D-printing resins are specifically designed from raw materials capable of complying with ISO 10993. After washing and post-curing according the instructions, the material can comply with the ISO 10993 tests conform biocompatible resin. Liqcreate Bio-Med Clear is a rigid clear biocompatble photopolymer resin and can be processed on most resin based 3D-printers. 3D-printed parts from this material exhibit biocompatible properties when post processed according to the processing instructions1.
