Whilst the 3D-printing market grows rapidly, the demand for better 3D-printing resin grows with it. This leads to the development of a wide variety of photopolymer engineering resin. All new types of resins are finding their way into the market for specific applications. The term engineering resin is a combination for all resins with enhanced properties. Earlier we wrote an article about the Strongest, Toughest and Elastic / Flexible engineering resin available.
Engineering resin for SLA, LCD, DLP & MSLA 3D-printing
There are a wide variety of resins available for 3D-printing. Mostly they are defined as General Purpose, Strong / Rigid, Tough, Elastic and high heat stable resins. These names tell something about the properties of the resin, not neceseraly with which kind of 3D-printing technology they are compatible with. For instance an Elastic resin can be developed for SLA, DLP or maybe for both. it should be clear in the manufacturers data on what platform these resins can be printed.
