Resin 3D-printing settings for Anycubic Photon Mono-X

The Anycubic Photon Mono X remains one of the most influential large‑format MSLA printers of its generation, known for its stability, speed, and broad compatibility with a wide range of Anycubic Photon Mono X resin materials. As a one of the first affordable 4K monochrome LCD resin 3D‑printer, it delivered fast layer curing and consistent performance, making it suitable for hobbyists, professionals, and small‑scale production environments. Its high‑transmittance monochrome screen allows the printer to process not only standard photopolymer resins but also many engineering‑grade, dental, and even traditionally higher‑energy DLP and SLA‑oriented resins with reliable results.

With an 8.9‑inch 4K LCD, a 50‑micron XY resolution, and a 192 × 120 × 245 mm build volume, the Photon Mono X offers a strong balance between print quality and part size. This makes it a popular choice for users who want to print medium sized prototypes, functional components, or detailed models using either Anycubic Photon Mono X resin formulations or Liqcreate photopolymer resins. The powerful UV LED matrix and efficient optical path contribute to short exposure times, typically in the range of 1.5–5 seconds per layer depending on the resin type, allowing for faster print cycles compared to earlier RGB‑LCD printers.

Because of its strong light output and stable Z‑axis mechanics, the Mono X handles a wide variety of third‑party materials—including Liqcreate resins—with predictable curing behavior. Even resins designed for professional DLP systems can often be printed at reasonable speeds, thanks to the printer’s high UV intensity and uniform light distribution. This versatility is one of the reasons the Mono X continues to be widely used in workshops, dental labs, and engineering environments where consistent resin performance is essential. Anycubic Photon Mono X resin 3D-printer specifications

4K monochrome LCD The Anycubic Photon Mono X is one of the first 8.9 inch LCD printers to have a newly developed 4K monochrome LCD display. With this new technology, the Photon Mono X prints at unbelievable printing speeds so that it only needs a few seconds per layer. The monochrome LCD is also thermally stable and has a much longer service life than conventional LCD displays. it is advertised that you can print up to over 2000 hours with it! Despite the fairly large buid volume, the Anycubic Photon Mono X has a very high precision of up to 50 microns, which is achieved due to the 4K LCD screen resolution.

New matrix light source:The new matrix light source has been redesigned and consists of several UV LED lights that have a more even exposure. This not only improves accuracy but also enables faster exposure times and better heat dissipation.

Dual linear rail: With the enlarged building platform, increased stability is also a very important addition. Following the trend of its smaller LCD counterparts, the Photon Mono X has two linear rails on its vertical axis to ensure that the build platform remains level throughout the printing process.

UV cooling system: An integrated cooling system for the UV exposure unit to increase printing performance and service life.

Other features:

  • – Qualitative power supply
  • – Automatic shut down when opening the top cover
  • – 3.5-inch touchscreen
  • – Details down to 50 microns
  • – Wifi module
  • – Stable Z-axis
  • – Structured platform for better adhesion
